Adrianna is the illegitimate child of Signora Fausta di Benicio. Lady Fausta died in childbirth, and so the cuckolded Signore Gustavo cast Adrianna. She grew up on the streets, where she fell in with Paolo, the good-hearted leader of a gang of thieves. He taught her everything she needed to know about how to survive, and instilled in her a fierce sense of justice: she always stands up for the oppressed. She also has a fierce temper, which she directs at anyone who crosses her. Adrianna's crimson hair and golden eyes show that she has draconic blood. Perhaps she is even related to the dragons that rule Vanzenia? She is drawn to finding out the truth about her father and her heritage, which draws her to reunite with her estranged family. Since reuniting with her family, she is full of rage at Morignus, and wants to feel stronger after the ordeal at Isola della Mortanera. As a result, she has become more violent, to Paolo's dismay.

She dedicated herself to the same charitable works as Fausta, working with the poor and the sick. Through her natural creative talents, Chiara found a magical power, and she taught herself how to channel it to affect the world around her. After the fall of Ca'Benicio, Chiara's life is in ruins. She has become the de facto leader of the siblings, and has dedicated herself fiercely to Santa Maria and the humanist course.
