Races of Tirenia

It's a tradition of Dungeons and Dragons that there are dozens of different races that players can choose to play. I've adapted the races to make them work in my world! All of the rules for these can be found in the official 5th Edition books: this is just alternative flavor text for them.

http://tirenia.blogspot.com/2018/06/mortal-races-overview.html  This gives an overview of the different races in Tirenia.

Player's Handbook Races
https://tirenia.blogspot.com/2017/12/mortal-races-humans.html Humans are the most common race in Tirenia.
https://tirenia.blogspot.com/2017/12/mortal-races-dwarves.html Dwarves are outsiders that don't fit racially or culturally into any boxes humans assign for them! (There is an answer to where dwarves come from, which will get revealed in a campaign one day!)
http://tirenia.blogspot.com/2017/12/mortal-races-elves.html 'Fey-souled' (elves) are humans born with the spiritual influence of fairies upon their soul.
http://tirenia.blogspot.com/2017/12/mortal-races-half-elves.html 'The Beautiful Ones' (half-elves) are humans who are just exotic enough to be idealised.
http://tirenia.blogspot.com/2017/12/mortal-races-gnomes.html Gnomes are fairies who found the world so interesting, they quit fairyland.
http://tirenia.blogspot.com/2017/12/no-one-knows-where-halflings-come-from.html Halflings are even more mysterious than dwarves. (Unlike dwarves, I don't know the mystery of where halflings come from - yet.)
http://tirenia.blogspot.com/2017/12/mortal-races-aasimar-and-tieflings.html The devil-souled(tieflings) are humans with the spiritual influence of hell upon their souls.
http://tirenia.blogspot.com/2017/12/mortal-races-dragonborn.html Dragon-souled are humans with the spiritual influence of dragons upon their souls.
http://tirenia.blogspot.com/2017/12/mortal-races-half-orcs.html Half-orcs are the Chaos-souled, who have the spiritual influence of the mortal foot-soldiers of the Inferno upon their souls.

Volo's Guide to Monsters Races
http://tirenia.blogspot.com/2017/12/mortal-races-tritons.html Tritones are fish-folk. They may be descended from the pious survivors of the sunken First City.
http://tirenia.blogspot.com/2017/12/mortal-races-aasimar-and-tieflings.html The angel-souled (aasimar) are humans with the spiritual influence of hell upon their souls.
http://tirenia.blogspot.com/2017/12/mortal-races-goliaths.html The giant-souled (goliaths) have the spiritual influence of the giants upon their souls.
http://tirenia.blogspot.com/2017/12/mortal-races-tabaxi.html Tabaxi are cat-folk, one of the most common of the beast-folk.
http://tirenia.blogspot.com/2017/12/mortal-races-genasi.html The element-souled have the spiritual influence of the elementals upon their souls.
http://tirenia.blogspot.com/2017/12/mortal-races-aarakocra-and-kenku.html Bird-folk. The stories about them may (or may not!) reflect folk belief more than reality.
http://tirenia.blogspot.com/2018/01/mortal-races-lizardfolk.html Lizard-folk are more civilised in Tirenia than in other worlds.
http://tirenia.blogspot.com/2018/01/mortal-races-firbolgs.html Diminished and debased giants from an irrelevant and excessively rainy northern island.
http://tirenia.blogspot.com/2017/12/mortal-races-orcs-goblins-hobgoblins.html Monster-folk are probably not appropriate for players in Tirenia!
http://tirenia.blogspot.com/2017/12/mortal-races-kobolds.html Kobolds are a lesson what can go wrong when people mess with their own souls.
http://tirenia.blogspot.com/2018/01/mortal-races-yuan-ti.html Snake-folk are wise and not evil, unlike Yuan-Ti in other worlds.

Other Sources
http://tirenia.blogspot.com/2017/12/mortal-races-warforged.html The Created (warforged) are living statues. They've only just been introduced in my game, so their fate is yet to be determined!
http://tirenia.blogspot.com/2017/12/mortal-races-shifters.html Wood-wose are those who are not entirely human and not entirely beastfolk.
http://tirenia.blogspot.com/2017/12/mortal-races-tortles.html Everyone things that turtle-folk are just another form of beastfolk. The truth is a little weirder!
http://tirenia.blogspot.com/2017/12/mortal-races-changelings.html No one knows changelings exist - just how they like it!
http://tirenia.blogspot.com/2018/01/mortal-races-minotaurs.html Bull-folk are not looked down upon in their native lands. Tirenians are more prejudiced, unfortunately.
http://tirenia.blogspot.com/2018/06/mortal-races-centaurs.html Horse-folk are one of the more common and respected beast-folk in other lands; less so in Tirenia.
