Mortal Races: Dragonborn

Dragons have the ability to take human form, and have dwelt among humans in disguise for a long time. It is no surprise then that there are children born in every generation who are part dragon and part human. These dragon-born have may unusual-coloured hair, golden eyes, serpentine features, scales, or even in some cases wings and a tail. At their most extreme, they may even look like a humanoid dragon, but the majority can pass for human.

Most dragonborn are aware of their heritage and given privileged positions in their home cities. In the Auromian Empire, gold dragonborn were used as administrators, and they still appear in noble families today. Dragonborn are more commonly found in the aristocracy, and they often have their draconic family as patrons. Many dragonborn are sorcerers, using the power of their bloodline. Dragonborn among the lower classes are often 'adopted' into the nobility, forcing them to tie themselves to a draconic patron or else quietly exterminated.
